The riding club relies on its Committee to help it run efficiently. We are always keen to hear from our Members with requirements.

So please do tell us – we are a friendly team and we are ready to take on board what you want from YOUR club, and we will do our best to make it happen.

Chairman & Event Organiser (Safeguarding & First Aid)

Kirsty, took the club by the reins when it was close to closing, and put together a new committee, and she is only 30. She has been riding since she was 2 years old, competing up from pony club to British Eventing & British Dressage and now established at RoR (Retraining of Racehorses), with her ex race horse, Bertie and Copper. She held her jockey licence at 21years. She has a wide range of experience with horses dealing from foals, youngsters to competition horses and race horses. You may know Kirsty Holder due to her riding career. She is now an Emergency medical dispatcher for South Western Ambulance Service, so you are in safe hands.

PS….she doesn’t like teal and is old school with regards to Shows!

Charlotte runs her own business – Chance Equine – where She offers equestrian services such as clipping, trimming, plaiting and event photography.

Over the years, she has competed in many disciplines such as show jumping, dressage, eventing, showing, hunting and team chasing and she has worked on different yards from Riding Schools, Competition Centres and Hunting Yards.

Charlotte has a Welsh Section D yearling. She shows him in-hand and has future plans to do ride and drive.

AKA… also Kirsty’s mum!

Kay is from Soudley and offers the club years of experience as she has owned her own horses, competed in show jumping since the age of 16, and worked with horses in hunting, racing and eventing.

In her early years of working with horses she had the opportunity to work for Robert Oliver in the Showing world.

Kay has now hung up her reins from riding following the death of her last horse, which she had for over 23 years.

Grant owns Court Farm Garage in Littledean where he also manages Bockmann UK.

Court Farm offers lovely new horse trailers for purchase or hire. They also offer trailer servicing. ODRC Members benefit from discounted rates. Please contact Grant for more info.

Jane is one of the older team members of the committee, she has ridden all her adult life and was a volunteer at the Riding for the Disabled when it was still fairly new. She was a helper then an instructor for about 15 years, also in her spare time exercised hunters for a friend. 

She also used to complete at Novice level dressage and enjoyed many a fun ride. She’s owned horses for 18 years and is now a happy hacker on her 23 year old part Arab grey gelding.

Nick, alongside Luke, is also one of our loyal groundsman who helps set-up and clear away at all of our club shows.

Luke is one of our loyal groundsman who helps set-up and clear away at all of our club shows. He also helps repair jumps and anything else the Club needs doing.

The Club really couldn’t function without the help Luke and Nick provide and all of the Committee and members really appreciates the time they give us to support our Club.
